Anastassija Anatoljewna Barannikowa , b. Gladysheva ( Russian Анастасия Анатольевна Баранникова (Гладышева) , English Anastasiya Anatolievna Barannikova (née Gladysheva) ; born November 27, 1987 in Perm , Soviet Union ) is a Russian ski jumper .

Career

Gladysheva made her international debut on August 8, 2009 in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . The summer of 2009 and the winter season of 2009/10 were unsuccessful for them. She stayed behind the points in all competitions. Her best finish was a 33rd place in Lillehammer . In the 2010/11 season she took an international break. Only at the beginning of 2011/12 did she get back into the Continental Cup and immediately won her first Continental Cup points in her first competition in Rovaniemi . After two 16th places, she received the nomination for the newly created women's ski jumping World Cup on December 3, 2011 for the first time . In Lillehammer she reached the 46th place on the normal hill and thus remained without World Cup points.

After further placements outside of the points, Gladysheva succeeded on February 11, 2012 in Ljubno for the first time the jump under the top 30. With 29th place she won her first two World Cup points. In Oslo at the end of the season she won another point and finished the 2011/12 season in 49th place in the overall World Cup standings. After two good jumps in Villach as part of the FIS Cup in July 2012, Gladysheva started at the Ski Jumping Grand Prix in August . In the mixed team competition in Courchevel she reached tenth place with the team. In Kazakh Almaty she managed the leap into the top twenty. So she reached the places 18 and 17. In the end she reached the 26th place in the overall ranking.

The first World Cup competitions of the 2012/13 season were unsuccessful for Gladysheva. If she narrowly missed the points with 32nd place at the season opener in Lillehammer, she was well behind in the following World Cups. Only on the Zaō ski jump in Yamagata , Japan , she managed to win points again with 23rd and 22nd place. In Ljubno she also jumped into the points again.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme , Gladysheva reached place 26 in the individual. In the mixed team competition, she reached ninth place together with Denis Kornilow , Irina Avakumowa and Dmitri Vasiliev . After the World Championships in 2013, she started again in the Continental Cup and was able to achieve her first podium of her career with third place in Örnsköldsvik .

At the Winter Universiade 2013 in Predazzo Gladyschewa finished tenth in the individual and together with Alexander Sardyko eighth in the mixed team competition.

At the 2015 Winter Universiade in Štrbské Pleso , she won three medals in three competitions. In the individual competition she won the bronze medal as third behind Irina Avakumova and Yuka Kobayashi . She won the team competition together with Irina Avakumova and in the mixed team competition she won the silver medal behind Japan I together with Mikhail Maximotschkin. She finished the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun with a 35th place in the individual. On December 12, 2015, she finished ninth in Nizhny Tagil, her first top ten placement in the World Cup.

She has been married since 2016 and has been called Barannikowa ever since . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , Barannikova reached place 21 in the individual. In the mixed team competition, she reached sixth place together with Denis Kornilow , Irina Avakumova and Yevgeny Klimov . In the overall World Cup of the 2016/17 season , she finished 25th with 150 points, her best result to date.

In the 2017/18 season , Barannikova took second place with the Russian team in the first two team competitions in the women's World Cup in Hinterzarten and three in Zaō . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she started as an Olympic athlete from Russia and finished 27th in the individual competition on the normal hill .
