Königshöhe or Auf der Königshöhe is a location in the west of the Friedrichsberg residential area of the Bergisch city ​​of Wuppertal , Elberfeld district .

Location and description

The location is at an altitude of 284  m above sea level. NHN on the Lichtscheider Höhenücken ieS (Wuppertaler Südhöhen) in the west of the Friedrichsberg residential area in the Elberfeld district . Neighboring locations are Am Elend , Ossenbeck , In der Hoffnung , Im Honigstal and In der Dalster .

history

On the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824, the location is not labeled, the old paths that touch the location are shown. On the Prussian first recording from 1843, a built-up place is recorded here - but without any inscription. From the measuring table sheet from 1892 the place is labeled with Königshöhe . There was also a lookout tower in the immediate vicinity of the village, which should not be confused with the Von-der-Heydt Tower . The tower was still marked on the table from 1907, but not on the one from 1927. A transmission mast was later erected at another point on site .

In the address book from 1864 the location is noted as 'Auf der Königshöhe'. The street Auf der Königshöhe , the exact date of which is unknown, was named in honor of the Prussian king. Around 1870 the former property with the inn of the Von der Heydt family was acquired, the Von-der-Heydt summer house was built as an extension in 1885.
