In the Dalster is a location in the west of the residential area Friedrichsberg of the Bergisch metropolis Wuppertal , district Elberfeld .

Location and description

The location is at an altitude of 248  m above sea level. NHN on the northern slope of the Lichtscheider Höhenücken ieS (Wuppertaler Südhöhen) in the west of the Friedrichsberg residential area in the Elberfeld district . The Dalster brook has its source at the village on the Könighöher Weg . Neighboring locations are Am Elend , Ossenbeck , In der Hoffnung , Im Honigstal and Königshöhe .

The origin of the name is not known.

history

On the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 the location is labeled In der Dalster , on later maps until 1988 as Dalster . From the cards from 1993 on again as In der Dalster .

1815/16 the place had 18 inhabitants. In 1832 In der Dalster belonged to the Steinbeck and Arrenberger Rotte of the rural outskirts of the parish and the city of Elberfeld . The place, categorized as a craftsman's apartment according to the statistics and topography of the administrative district of Düsseldorf , was designated as In der Dalster and at that time had two residential buildings and two agricultural buildings. At that time there were 20 people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

In the address book from 1850 the location is noted as 'Dalster', from 1864 'In der Dalster'. A street called In der Dalster was named with an unknown date.
