Englund jumped on the podium at two FIS competitions in Calgary , Canada in early January 2012. Then she reached only 35th place at the Junior World Championships in Erzurum . In the 2012/13 season she only started in the Continental Cup from March and ended the season eighth in the overall standings.
On January 12, 2014, Englund made her World Cup debut while jumping from the Miyanomori hill in Sapporo, Japan . With 48th place, however, she missed the points. A week later, she still missed her first points as 45th and 37th in Zaō . After further competitions in the Continental Cup , she jumped on the podium for the first time on March 2, 2014 in Falun as third.
At the start of the 2014/15 World Cup season in Lillehammer , Englund took her first World Cup points on December 5, 2014 with 18th place. On January 24, 2015, she achieved her first top ten placement with seventh place in Oberstdorf . On February 8, 2014, she achieved her first podium finish in Râşnov . She finished second behind Sara Takanashi . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 2015 , she finished twelfth in the singles and was seventh in the mixed team competition with the US team. After she achieved several top ten placements in the World Cup and jumped at least under the top 30 at every start, she finished the season with 332 points in tenth place in the overall World Cup.
On August 14, 2015, Englund made her debut in the Summer Grand Prix in Courchevel , taking her first points as 23rd. At four other starts in the summer of 2015, she always jumped into the top ten and reached her first podium finish on September 12th in Almaty as second . She finished the summer with 209 points in third place in the overall Grand Prix standings . In October 2015, she became the US American normal hill champion in Lake Placid . In the World Cup seasons 2015/16 and 2016/17 she jumped into the top ten several times. Her best results of the season were each seventh place. In the overall World Cup, she finished 13th and 16th in these two years. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , she finished 27th in the individual and was eighth in the mixed team competition with the US team.
In July 2017 she secured Englund her second national championship title in Park City, Utah, ahead of Abby Ringquist and Nina Lussi . In the 2017/18 World Cup season , she was unable to build on her performance in previous years. Only at the beginning of the World Cup in Lillehammer was she able to get a World Cup point in 30th place. This remained her best season position. In the other competitions she missed the finals or even failed in qualifying. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she finished 31st in the individual competition on the normal hill and was eliminated after the first round.
