Luca Roth (born April 14, 2000 ) is a German ski jumper .

Career

Luca Roth starts for SV Meßstetten . He made his debut on January 17, 2015 in Oberwiesenthal in the Alpencup , where he finished 54th. In September 2016, Roth started in Hinterzarten for the first time in the FIS Cup , where he finished 23rd and 16th. Since then, further participation in both competition series has followed.

After strong performances in the Alpine Cup, he made his debut in the Continental Cup in Szczyrk on August 18, 2017 , where he reached 11th place.

At the German Championships in 2017 in Oberwiesenthal, he reached 11th place. On December 27, 2018, he jumped into the top ten of a Continental Cup competition for the first time in the Vogtland Arena in Klingenthal and, on the following day, had his best result to date with sixth place Series to follow. At the Nordic Junior Ski World Championships 2019 in Lahti , Finland , he won the world championship title in team jumping (together with Kilian Märkl , Philipp Raimund and Constantin Schmid ), second place in individual jumping and third place in the mixed team competition (together with Agnes Reisch , Selina Freitag and Constantin Schmid) a complete set of medals.

Roth attended the ski boarding school in Furtwangen , where he graduated in summer 2018. He trains at the Hinterzarten base.
