Lucile Morat (born June 15, 2001 in Romans-sur-Isère ) is a French ski jumper .

Career

Morat made her international debut at the Nordic Ski Games of the OPA 2014 in Gérardmer , where she finished ninth in the individual and fourth together with Océane Paillard and Marie Hoyau . A year later at the Nordic Ski Games 2015 in Seefeld in Tyrol , Morat jumped tenth in the individual and was fifth with the team in the team competition. In March 2015 she made her debut in the Alpine Ski Jumping Cup and achieved two 16th places in Chaux-Neuve . In August she won the junior competition in Hinterzarten . In September she was on a podium in the Alpine Cup for the first time in Einsiedeln . She repeated this success in January 2016 in Žiri . At the Nordic Ski Games of the OPA 2016 in Villach , Morat won the individual gold medal. and with the team. In March, she made her debut in the FIS Cup and jumped in the second jumping from Harrachov as seventh for the first time among the top 10. The winter 2015/16 ended Morat with two second places in Baiersbronn and by winning the French Championship in Courchevel . On August 26, 2016 she made her debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup and surprisingly won the jumping on the Fichtelbergschanzen in Oberwiesenthal . She was also able to win the second competition the following day. Then she traveled with the A-squad to the Ski Jumping Grand Prix in Tchaikovsky , where she secured the first points in 18th place after qualifying in the first competition. After a disqualification in the second competition, she finished her Grand Prix debut as 31st in the overall ranking. In winter 2016/17 she became part of the team for the Ski Jumping World Cup and won her first World Cup points in 12th place at the opening competition in Lillehammer . During the season she got a total of 158 points and finished the overall World Cup in 24th place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2017 , she finished 24th in the individual and tenth place in the mixed team competition.

On August 18, 2017, she reached the podium for the first time in a Summer Grand Prix competition in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm . She was second behind Yūki Itō . With a total of five starts during the Summer Grand Prix 2017 , she always reached the top ten and was fourth in the overall standings with 256 points. On December 16, 2017, she took part in the first women's team competition in the history of the Ski Jumping World Cup in Hinterzarten together with Léa Lemare , Julia Clair and Romane Dieu . The French team finished third on the podium. At the Junior World Championships in Kandersteg in 2018 , she finished fourth in the individual competition and won the bronze medal in the team competition together with Océane Paillard , Joséphine Pagnier and Romane Dieu. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she took 21st place in the individual competition on the normal hill .

At the Junior World Championships in Lahti in 2019 , she finished fifth in the individual competition and was sixth with both the French junior team and the mixed team. She then took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , achieved 33rd place in the individual jumping and was seventh in the team competition with the French women's team.
