Julia Clair (born March 20, 1994 in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges ) is a French ski jumper .
Career
Clair made her international debut on August 12, 2007 in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . At the 2008 OPA Games in Bois-d'Amont , she jumped to 13th place and a year later in Baiersbronn to seventh place. In August 2009 she won Continental Cup points for the first time in Bischofsgrün . On August 22, 2009, she achieved her best individual result to date with 14th place in Lillehammer . At the Junior World Championships 2010 in Hinterzarten she reached the 35th place in the individual and a year later in Otepää she also jumped to the 35th place. The 2009/10 season ended Clair on the 46th place in the Continental Cup standings. At the third OPA games in 2011 in Baiersbronn, she came in ninth place.
On December 3, 2011, she made her debut in the World Cup in Lillehammer , finished 34th and just missed the second round. Four weeks later she achieved her best result of the season with eighth place in Hinterzarten. In the overall World Cup ranking she reached 19th place. At her third Junior World Championship in 2012 in Erzurum , she reached 35th place in the individual and fifth in the team. In the first mixed team of the 2012/13 season in Lillehammer, she jumped to ninth place with the French team.
Together with her teammates Coline Mattel , Léa Lemare and Océane Avocat Gros , she won the silver medal in team jumping on the normal hill at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2013 . A year later, Clair won bronze with the team.
At the Olympic premiere of women's ski jumping, she finished 19th.
