Brett Camerota (born January 9, 1985 in Salt Lake City ) is a former American Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Camerota, who competes for the Park City Nordic Ski Club, made his international debut in 2002 in the B World Cup. In the Junior World Championship 2003 in Sweden Sollefteå he reached 29 and Gundersen the 21th Place in the sprint. With the team he reached 7th place in the mass start competition. A year later in Stryn he could no longer achieve these results. Also at the Junior World Championships in 2005 in Rovaniemi , he clearly missed the results of 2003. After he improved his results in the B World Cup in the direction of the top ten, he made his debut in the Nordic Combined World Cup on January 29, 2006 . At the 2006 Winter Olympics he started despite the lack of top results and finished in 38th place in Gundersen. After the games he started again in the B World Cup before he started again in the World Cup at the turn of 2006/07. He achieved several placements in the points, which is why he ended the season in 50th place overall. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo , Camerota reached 31st place in Gundersen. Two years later at the 2009 World Championships in Liberec , Camerota only came 54th. In the 2009/10 season he was rarely able to achieve good results. Despite this, he was part of the roster for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . He won the silver medal in the team competition with Todd Lodwick , Johnny Spillane and Bill Demong . In the individual on the normal hill, Camerota reached the 36th place. He finished the 2009/10 season in 56th place in the overall World Cup ranking.

Camerota declared his career in active sports in 2011.
