Eric Camerota (born January 9, 1985 in Salt Lake City ) is a former American Nordic combined athlete .
Camerota made his international debut in 2002 in the Nordic Combined B World Cup. At the 2003 Junior World Championships in Sollefteå , he reached 41st place in Gundersen and seventh place with the team. A year later at the Junior World Championships in Stryn in 2004 , he managed a ninth place in the sprint and fifth in the Gundersen. In the team competition he reached 10th place together with the team. On December 30, 2004 he made his debut in the Nordic Combined World Cup . Already in his first World Cup he won a World Cup point with 30th place. After the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf in 2005 , he had to leave with lower placements and shortly afterwards could not achieve any top placements at the Junior World Championships in Rovaniemi . It wasn't until the 2006/07 season that he achieved his breakthrough. He had previously achieved 39th place in the sprint at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . After winning several points, he finished the 2006/07 season in 49th place in the overall sprint world cup standings. In the overall World Cup he achieved his best result of the season to date with 39th place. From 2009 he started in the Continental Cup as well as the World Cup due to a lack of good results. There he has so far achieved several placements among the top ten. In December 2009 he started for the last time on an international level. In 2011, Camerota and his twin brother Brett retired.
