Ida Maria Erika Ingemarsdotter (born April 26, 1985 in Sveg ) is a Swedish cross-country skier .
Career
Ingemarsdotter first appeared at the 2004 Junior World Championships in Stryn, Norway . The sprint specialist only had to admit defeat to Astrid Oevstedal in the final of the sprint competition . After winning the silver medal in the juniors, she got the chance to defend herself in the cross-country world cup . In the sprint in her home town of Stockholm , she survived the qualification and won World Cup points as 26th in her first outing. The following year she won the bronze medal in the sprint at the Junior World Championship in Rovaniemi, Finland, behind Kari Vikhagen Gjeitnes and Astrid Jacobsen , while she was 39th in the freestyle race over five kilometers. In March 2006 she made it into the top ten in a World Cup competition for the first time in a sprint in Borlänge, Germany .
Ingemarsdotter has been a permanent member of the Swedish team's World Cup line-up since the 2006/07 season . That season she reached the finals of all sprint competitions she competed in. At the end of the season she finished 27th in the final score of the Sprint World Cup and thus secured a place in the red group. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2007 she reached the semifinals and secured eighth place with second place in the B final. Also in the 2007/08 season she regularly reached the finals in the World Cup. In the team sprint in Liberec , she narrowly missed the podium with her partner Charlotte Kalla as fourth . She improved to 26th place in the Sprint World Cup and 41st place in the overall World Cup. At the U23 World Championships in Mals , she won the silver medal in the sprint competition behind Vesna Fabjan from Slovenia . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season , Ingemarsdotter was able to place ninth in the sprint in Kuusamo for the second time in her career among the top ten in a World Cup. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 she surprisingly reached the final run and took fifth place.
After she narrowly missed the podium in the sprint in Düsseldorf in the 2009/10 season with fourth place, she achieved her first podium finish in the team sprint together with Hanna Falk . Also in January 2010 in Otepää she narrowly missed the podium in the sprint, but shortly afterwards she won bronze in the 15 km pursuit at the Swedish Cross Country Ski Championships 2010 in Piteå . After she was again on the podium in the sprint in Canmore with second place, Ingemarsdotter started at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . After she was only 15 in the sprint and only 41 in the 15 km skiathlon, she reached fifth place in the relay together with Anna Dahlberg-Olsson , Magdalena Pajala and Charlotte Kalla . After the end of the season, she could not achieve any more podium places. Her best result was a fourth place in Stockholm . At the end of the season she finished 15th in the overall World Cup ranking. After the season they started in April successfully in Bruksvallarna in FIS races . After a first place in qualification, she was third after the race.
In the summer of 2010 Ingemarsdotter competed in rollerskiing in Kristiansund and narrowly missed the podium in the sprint and ended up fourth. In the 2010/11 season she started poorly after winning the FIS race in Bruksvallarna. Until January 2011, she was not placed in the top ten in any race. At the Swedish Cross Country Ski Championships 2011 in Sundsvall , she won bronze in the sprint and over 10 km in the classic style. After this success she achieved a good placement in the World Cup in February. In Drammen she reached sixth place in the sprint after finishing fifth over 10 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , however, after a 12th place in the sprint in the individual over 10 km in classic style, she only finished in 28th place. In the team sprint, she won the gold medal with her partner Charlotte Kalla. Just one day later, she also won silver with the relay.
At the Swedish Cross-Country Ski Championships 2011 in Bruksvallarna, Ingemarsdotter won the title over 30 km in classic style. For the 2011/12 season , Ingemarsdotter initially found it difficult to build on the successes of the previous season. It was not until December in Rogla that she celebrated another podium with third place in the sprint. In Milan in January 2012 she managed to win again after a long sprint. At the Swedish Cross-Country Ski Championships 2013 in Östersund at the end of January , she was successful in all three disciplines. She won gold in the sprint, silver in the skiathlon and bronze over 10 km in free style. In February 2012 she won the sprint race in Szklarska Poręba .
At the beginning of the 2012/13 season Ingemarsdotter stood in Gällivare again after a long time with the team in a relay race on the podium and finished second. Two weeks later, she finished third in the Quebec sprint. At the 2013 Swedish Cross Country Ski Championships in Falun, she defended her sprint title from the previous year. After three more top 10 placements in the World Cup, Ingemarsdotter started at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme . After she won silver in the sprint behind the Norwegian Marit Bjørgen , she also achieved second place in the team sprint. In the relay competition she was also in second place behind Norway in the end. After the world championship, she only got mediocre places in the world cup finals in Stockholm and Falun. In the Swedish championship over 30 km in free style she only finished tenth in the end.
In the 2013/14 season Ingemarsdotter reached 20th place at the Nordic Opening in Kuusamo and 28th place at the World Cup final in Falun . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she won the bronze medal in the team sprint together with Stina Nilsson and the gold medal in the relay, while she reached the finals in the sprint, but was fifth without a medal. At the beginning of the following season she finished 12th at the Nordic Opening in Lillehammer . In January 2015 she won the team sprint in Otepää together with Stina Nilsson. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun, she and Stina Nilsson won silver in the team sprint, while she was twelfth in the individual sprint competition. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season she was fourth in the overall ranking at the Nordic Opening in Ruka . She finished third in the 5 km freestyle. At the Tour de Ski 2016 she achieved four top ten placements, including a second place in the sprint stage in Lenzerheide , 12th place in the overall ranking. At the following World Cup in Planica she won the team sprint together with Stina Nilsson. At the Swedish Championships in Piteå at the end of January , she was third over 10 km classic. Her best placements in the Ski Tour Canada , which she ended prematurely, were two sixth places in the sprint stages. She finished the season in 12th place in the overall World Cup and sixth in the Sprint World Cup. After finishing 21st in the World Cup mini-tour in Lillehammer at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she took second place with Hanna Falk in the team sprint in Toblach and third place in the relay in Ulricehamn . At the beginning of February 2017 she was second in the Swedish championships over 10 km classic. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti she finished 17th over 10 km classic, fifth place in the sprint and fourth place together with Stina Nilsson in the team sprint. At the end of the season she came in fourth at the World Cup finals in Québec and reached 15th place in the overall World Cup and eighth place in the Sprint World Cup. At the end of March 2017, she finished third over 30 km at the Swedish championships in Umeå . At the Flyktningerennet at the beginning of April 2017, she won the 42 km classic. In the 2017/18 season she achieved ninth place in the Ruka Triple and 21st place at the World Cup finals in Falun and reached 18th place in the overall World Cup and Distance World Cup and 12th place in the Sprint World Cup. In January 2018 she won the team sprint in Dresden together with Maja Dahlqvist . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she came in 34th place over 10 km freestyle and 13th place in sprint.
After third place in the sprint at the World Cup in Ruka and 13th place in the Lillehammer Triple at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, Ingemarsdotter finished second in the sprint in Toblach and in the team sprint in Dresden together with Jonna Sundling . In February 2019 she won the World Cup in Lahti together with Maja Dahlqvist in the team sprint and took 33rd place over 10 km classic, 13th place in the 30 km mass start race and 11th place at the season highlight, the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol Place in the skiathlon . At the World Cup finals in Québec she came in 15th place and finally reached 15th place in the overall and distance World Cup and sixth place in the Sprint World Cup.
