Alewtina Sergejewna Oljunina ( Russian Алевтина Сергеевна Олюнина ; born August 15, 1942 in Ptscholkino, Kostroma Oblast ) is a former Russian cross-country skier who started for the Soviet Union in the 1970s .

Career

Oljunina first appeared internationally at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble . There she took 20th place over 5 km and 11th place over 10 km. In March 1968 she was third with the relay at the Lahti Ski Games . The following year she took fourth place over 10 km and third place with the relay at the Lahti Ski Games. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1970 in Vysoké Tatry she won over 10 km and with the relay the gold medal and at the Winter Universiade 1970 in Rovaniemi the silver medal over 10 km and with the relay. In 1971, she won the Svenska Skidspelen with the relay and finished second in the 10 km run. At the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , she was Olympic champion with the Soviet relay and won the silver medal over 10 km. She also came fourth over 5km. In Lycksele he won the Svenska Skidspelen in 1972 over 10 km. She had her last international success in 1973 with a win at Svenska Skidspelen with the relay and second place with the relay at the Lahti Ski Games.

Oljunina won the Soviet championships twice over 5 km (1968, 1972) and seven times with the relay (1967, 1969-1974).
