Carola Anding , after her wedding Carola Jacob, (born December 29, 1960 in Struth-Helmershof ) is a former German cross-country skier who started for the GDR .

Together with Marlies Rostock , Veronika Schmidt and Barbara Petzold, she won the gold medal with the relay in cross-country skiing at the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1982, she again won the bronze medal with the GDR relay. In 1984 she was eighth with the season at the Olympic Games in Sarajevo.

Carola Jacob is married to the former biathlete Matthias Jacob and has two daughters. Together with her husband, she runs a practice for sports physiotherapy in her home town of Floh-Seligenthal .

In 1980 she was awarded the Silver Patriotic Order of Merit .
