Britt Marianne Strandberg (born March 31, 1934 in Ljusdal ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Strandberg, who started for Edsbyns IF, had her first international success at the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley . There she won the gold medal with the relay and achieved 10th place over 10 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane in 1962 , she won the silver medal with the relay. Two years later she finished 11th over 5 km and fourth over 10 km at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck . With the relay she won the silver medal. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1966 , she won bronze medal with the relay. In the same year she was second in the Svenska Skidspelen over 10 km. At the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , she won the silver medal with the relay. In addition, she took 15th place over 5 km and over 10 km.

Strandberg won six times with the relay at Swedish championships (1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1967) and in 1961 over 10 km.
