Evdokija Panteleevna Mekschilo , Russian Евдокия Пантелеевна Мекшило , (born in Arkhipova; born March 23, 1931 in Gorno-Altaysk ; † January 16, 2013 in St. Petersburg ) was a Soviet cross-country skier .

Career

Mekschilo first appeared internationally at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1958 . There she was eighth over 10 km. In 1961 she won the Svenska Skidspelen with the relay. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane in 1962 , she achieved sixth place over 5 km. Two years later she won gold in the 3 × 5 km relay and silver over 10 km at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck together with Alewtina Koltschina and Klawdija Bojarskich . She also took fourth place over 5 km. In the same year she won again with the relay at the Svenska Skidspelen in Kiruna . Her last international appearance was at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1966 . There she came in fourth place over 5 km and over 10 km.

Mekschilo was seven times Soviet champion with the relay (1954, 1955, 1957, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966).
