Magdalena Pajala (born March 11, 1988 in Piteå ) is a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Pajala competed in junior races until 2008. She has been taking part in the Scandinavian Cup since 2008 . She has achieved six podium finishes so far, including one win, and finished fourth in the overall standings in the 2013/14 season . She ran her first World Cup race at the end of February 2008 in Stockholm , which she finished with 48th place in the sprint. She took her first World Cup point in March 2009 in Oslo with 30th place in the sprint. She had her best season so far in 2009/10 . The Tour de Ski 2009/10 she finished in 35th place. She finished in the top ten in two stage races. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , she finished tenth in the sprint and fifth in the relay. In March 2010 she achieved her best individual World Cup result with fourth place in the sprint in Drammen . She finished the season in 35th place in the overall World Cup ranking and 13th in the sprint ranking. At the Swedish Cross Country Ski Championships 2010 in Piteå, she won gold in the sprint. In January 2013 she took third place in the team sprint in Liberec, her first and so far only podium in the World Cup. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme and the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun , she reached the 28th and 26th place in the sprint.
