Career

Hilde, who starts for the Asker Skiklubb and belongs to the Kollenhopp training group, made his international debut in January 2003 at the Junior Olympics. He and the team immediately landed in second place in Planica and thus won the silver medal. After a further sixth place in the individual, he received a starting place for the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2003 in Sollefteå , where he jumped with the team to fourth place and thus just missed the medal ranks.

In August 2003, Hilde made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup and landed in Trondheim as 28th straight away within the points. Also in Lillehammer in December he collected another point as 30th. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2004 in Stryn , he again finished fourth with the team and was tenth in the individual. In the Continental Cup, after the Junior World Championship, he was unable to match the previous season's points successes straight away.

It was not until August 2005 in Lillehammer that Hilde managed to win important points again. However, the 2005/06 winter season and the 2006/07 season were unsuccessful. In the 2006/07 season he only won three points. Only in the ski jumping Continental Cup 2007/08 was Hilde able to convince again. In Engelberg he started the season with two eleventh places. After further top 20 placements in Sapporo , however, his performance decreased again, which is why he ended his active career after the end of the season despite placing 57th and 105 points in the overall Continental Cup ranking.

Terje Hilde is the older brother of Tom Hilde and now lives in Asker .
