Guido Landert (born November 3, 1985 in Wattwil ) is a former Swiss ski jumper and Nordic combined athlete who competed for SC Speer Ebnat-Kappel .

Career

Guido Landert started his career as a Nordic combined athlete, where he was only moderately successful there in the junior area and in the B World Cup. After his subsequent move to the special jumpers he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup in December 2005 in Lillehammer . He did not take part in the Four Hills Tournament , but then started regularly in the World Cup. In his second assignment in Sapporo , he reached 10th place and thus qualified for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . Here he took part in all three competitions, but, apart from a seventh place with the team, could not achieve a good placement. His performance in the World Cup fluctuated initially. With a sixth place on the large hill at Kuusamo , he achieved a result in the world elite for the first time at the start of the 2006/07 season . After a change of coach, he achieved several top 30 placements in the 2007/08 season.

After the last competition of the 2007/08 season, ski flying in Planica, Landert ended his career due to motivation problems.

Landert lives today in his birthplace Wattwil.
