The Bjørkelibakken is an area with several ski jumps in Norway Stryn province Vestland .

history

The first Bjørkelibakken ski jump was built as early as 1920. In 1930 the Ullberg-Bakken was built. A ski jumping center should also be built there. The plans were discarded and a normal hill was built on Bjørkeli in the "Nordfjord Fritidssenter", which was inaugurated in 1994. In 1996 the Norwegian championships took place on the hill, where Kristian Brenden set the hill record with 96.5 meters. In 2004 the Junior World Championships took place in Stryn and the special and combined competitions took place on the hill. The junior world champion in special jumping, the Pole Mateusz Rutkowski set a new hill record with 104.5 meters. The current hill record of 105.5 meters was set on March 6, 2010 by Espen Andersen during the Norwegian Youth Championships.
