Career

Eigenler was accepted into the national junior squad in 1996 and won the silver medal in team competition at the 1996 Junior World Championships in Asiago together with Michael Kury , Martin Zimmermann and Karl-Heinz Dorner .

On January 6, 1997 he made his debut in the World Cup and reached 21st place in Bischofshofen . There were two more competitions in which he once jumped into the points and once only just failed. At the end of the season he was ranked 78th overall. Eigenler took a four-year break and only started again in the 2001 Summer Grand Prix . After only mediocre performance, he finished the Grand Prix in 44th place overall. The following season he started in the Continental Cup and was only used again in the World Cup on December 22, 2001 in Predazzo . However, after he was only able to reach the 49th and penultimate place on the large hill, he was finally deleted from the senior national squad and only started in the Continental Cup. In 2003 he also competed in a jumping in the Summer Grand Prix and an FIS race . After the COC jumping on January 17, 2004 in Bischofshofen, he ended his active ski jumping career.
