Coraline Hugue (born March 11, 1984 in Embrun ) is a French cross-country skier .

Career

Hugue ran at the 2003 Junior World Championships in Sollefteå, Sweden, in the mass start race over 15 kilometers on 43rd place and in the race over five kilometers in classic style on 55th place. Her first World Cup race she ran in January 2005 in Nové Město , which she finished with the 43rd place over 10 km freestyle. At the 2004 Junior World Championships in Stryn , Norway , she was seventh in the freestyle race over five kilometers, in the mass start race over 15 kilometers 32nd, in the sprint 48th and eleventh with the French relay. In January 2006 she won World Cup points for the first time in Oberstdorf with 27th place in the skiathlon . At the military World Ski Championships in 2006 in Andermatt , Switzerland , she was fifth over ten kilometers. At the 2007 U23 World Championships in Tarvisio, she won silver in the skiathlon. At the 2007 Military World Ski Championships in Haanja , Estonia , she was able to win the silver medal over ten kilometers. A year later she was unable to repeat this success with fifth place at the 2008 military world ski championships in Hochfilzen, Austria . Her best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec were 14th place in the 30 km mass start race and eighth place in the relay. In addition, she was 34th in the pursuit race over 15 kilometers. At the 2010 Military World Ski Championships in Cogne , Italy , she was tenth over ten kilometers. The following year, she won the silver medal for the second time at the 2011 Military World Ski Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia . At the French cross-country skiing championship in 2012 in Bessans , she won bronze in the 10 km freestyle. In 2013 she won the military world championships in Le Grand-Bornand, France, over ten kilometers and at La Foulée Blanche over 42 km freestyle. She finished sixth in the relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme and twice tenth over 10 km freestyle and team sprint, while she was 32nd in the skiathlon. In the 2013/14 season she achieved tenth place in Lahti over 10 km freestyle, her best result so far in a World Cup race. At the 2014 Military World Ski Championships in Sodankylä , Finland , she won the bronze medal over ten kilometers. At the 2014 Olympics in Sochi , she finished seventh in the 30 km mass start race and fourth in the relay. In addition, Sue was 20th in the skiathlon. At the French cross-country skiing championship in Prémanon in 2014 , she won silver in the 7.5 km mass start race.

In the 2014/15 season Hugue reached 45th place at the Nordic Opening in Lillehammer and 18th place at the 2015 Tour de Ski . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 2015 , she finished 12th in the 10 km freestyle, eighth place with the relay and sixth place in the team sprint. In March 2015, she won gold again in the 10 km freestyle at the Military World Ski Championships in Boden . Two years later, she won silver over ten kilometers at the 2017 Military World Ski Championships in Sochi, Russia, and came fourth in the team competition. Her results at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 14th place over 10 km freestyle, 29th place in the skiathlon, twelfth place with the French relay and eighth place together with Aurore Jéan in the team sprint. She missed the 2018/19 season due to injury.

Hugue has also been taking part in the cross-country Alpine Cup since 2004 . So far she has reached 19 podium finishes, including four wins. (Status: end of 2017/18 season) Your best overall ranking was fifth in the 2010/11 season .
