Military World Ski Championships 2007

The 49th Military World Ski Championships (officially 49th World Military Ski Championship ) took place from 20 March to 23 March, 2007 Võru in Estonia instead. The host was the Estonian Armed Forces . The cross-country, patrol and biathlon competitions were held on a specially equipped competition track between Kurgjärve and Haanja .

procedure

The world championship opened on March 20, 2007. The first competitions took place the following day. The award ceremonies and medals for all competitions took place on March 23, 2007.

Cross-country skiing competitions took place on March 21, 2001, and biathlon competitions on March 22nd . In the patrol competitions, the start mode was changed at short notice on March 22nd, one day before the two competitions. Instead of the planned 15 km for the women and 25 km for the men, there were only runs over 8 km for the women and 14 km for the men.

Attendees

A total of 238 athletes from 21 nations took part. Ukraine also registered to participate, but ultimately did not send any athletes to the World Cup.

The Swedish team received a time penalty of 30 seconds due to a rule violation according to the CISM rules (rule 5.5.18.2). The Norwegian team was disqualified after the competition for breaking the rules (rule 5.2.12).
