After a good preparation for the 2009-10 season , where they, among other things won the biathlon test race in Muonio, she retired at the start of the World Cup season in Östersund in a training accident a broken fibula to. After her injury break, she started the sprint competition at the World Cups in Ruhpolding and Antholz , where she was only able to finish in 89th and 67th place. After Saue with rank 28 in the overall ranking of the World Cup season no longer lived up to her own performance requirements and because she did not feel well enough supported by the Estonian Association, she announced that she would take a break in the 2011/12 season. She considered a return to competitive sport for the following season, at least she would like to resume training then.
