Artjom Alexandrowitsch Uschakow ( Russian Артём Александрович Ушаков ; born November 24, 1983 in Ulyanovsk ) is a Russian biathlete .

Artyom Alexandrowitsch Uschakow ran his first international junior race in 2004 as part of the European Biathlon Cup . In Haute-Maurienne he took part in his only Junior World Championships in the same year and was 13th of the individual and sixth in sprint and pursuit. With Alexander Kudriaschew, Wladimir Schemelow and Wladislaw Moissejew he won the bronze medal behind the seasons from Germany and the Czech Republic. In Minsk Ushakov took shortly thereafter also at the European junior championships and finished 15th there the function SINGLE, sixth in the sprint and pursuit of the tenth race.

Since 2004 Uschakow started in the Biathlon European Cup with the men. He contested his first race, an individual, in Obertilliach and finished eleventh. His best result in the racing series was a fifth place in a sprint in Windischgarsten in 2005 . After 2005 it took until 2009 that Ushakov was able to start again in the European Cup, which was now called the IBU Cup , without being able to improve his best previous result so far. In the IBU Summer Cup 2009 he was able to achieve second place behind Mikhail Kotschkin in a roller-ski sprint . So far, the Russian has taken part in major performance events twice. at the 2006 European Biathlon Championships in Langdorf he was used in singles, in which he reached tenth place, in 2007 in Bansko he ran in the same discipline on 28th place in 2008/09 and again in 2010/11 Ushakov belongs to the Russian national team, without but to have competed in a World Cup race for a long time . In Presque Isle , Ushakov celebrated his World Cup debut in a sprint race in 2011 and finished in 66th place.

Nationally, Ushakov won the gold medal in the relay competition at the Russian Biathlon Championships in 2009 in Uwat with his fellow competitors Vitaly Norizyn , Sergei Kljatschin and Maxim Ichsanow . Also in 2010 he was able to win gold starting with Marsel Sharipov , Vladimir Semakov and Viktor Wassiljew for the Republic of Mordovia .
