Roland Zwahlen (born May 17, 1977 in Bern ) is a Swiss biathlete .

Roland Zwahlen has been practicing biathlon since 1999 and has been a member of the Swiss national team for just as long. In 2000 he made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup in a sprint in Oberhof (86th). So far, Zwahlen has not been able to achieve any outstanding results in individual races in his World Cup career, only once, in a sprint in Oberhof in 2005, was he able to score a World Cup point in 30th place. Zwahlen is also a very good long-distance runner and took 1st place in his age group at the half marathon of the Rennsteiglauf 2007 with a time of 1:15:20 (7th place overall).

However, Zwahlen is particularly important as a member of the Swiss squadron. With this he was able to place himself in the top ten of the World Cup several times. In Oberhof 2007 the Swiss relay achieved a very good sixth place with Zwahlen.

The landscape gardener, trained by Manfred Geyer and starting for NSC Gantrisch , took part in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and competed in all four races without major success. Between 2000 and 2005 he also took part in all world championships .
