Alain Rossier

Alain Rossier (* 1958 ) is a Swiss manager .

Rossier studied at the University of Bern Economics . After working for Ascom in Florida, USA and from 1995 for Swisscom , from March 2001 to the end of 2006 he was CEO of the Swiss air surveillance company Skyguide

During his tenure, civil and military air traffic control in Switzerland was combined in Skyguide and the aim was to coordinate air traffic control in Europe ("Single European sky"). In 2002 the plane crash in Überlingen on Lake Constance occurred . As a result, he had the air traffic control processes revised at Skyguide. During his work at Skyguide, he was also a member of the board of the Aerosuisse umbrella organization for Swiss aviation and a member of the advisory board of German air traffic control .

From January 1, 2009 to September 30, 2017, Alain Rossier was Director of Building Insurance for the Canton of Solothurn. Since October 1, 2017, he has been director of the Association of Cantonal Building Insurance (VKG).

Alain Rossier is bilingual (German and French), married and has two sons. In addition, he has the military rank of major as an artillery gunner in the Swiss Army.
