Alexei Michailowitsch Solowjow ( Russian Алексей Михайлович Соловьёв ; born November 3, 1981 ) is a Russian biathlete .

At the Junior World Championships in 2001 in Khanty-Mansiysk , Alexei Solovyov achieved his first international successes when he was third in the individual and in the pursuit, and in the relay with Vitaly Chernyshev , Alexander Zhukov and Nikolai Kruglow finished second. In the same year he was European champion in Haute-Maurienne with the same season , where Alexei Konchin was used instead of Zhukov . With the runner-up European championship in pursuit, he also achieved his greatest individual success there. Because of these results, he was used in the World Cup from 2002 , he made his debut in the sprint in Oberhof with 54th place. In the 2002 season he played a total of seven individual starts, a 44th place was his best result. Sporadic World Cup appearances in 2004 and 2006 followed with his best World Cup result in Kontiolahti in 41st place. In 2003 and 2005 he was able to celebrate victory with the Russian relay at the Universiade . In the European Cup, Solovyov has competed regularly since 2001 and, in addition to a relay victory, was also able to book six podium places with two individual victories in sprints. In addition to his first sprint win in Obertilliach in December 2002 , he achieved two wins in Ridnaun , he won the sprint in 2003 and the relay in 2005 .

At the Russian championships in 2007 he won the relay title with Filipp Schulman , Nikolai Kruglow and Dmitri Yaroshenko , in the summer biathlon he was also successful with relays, he was Russian champion in 2003 with the cross relay over 4 × 6 km. Since 2006 he has only been active in national events, but has no longer appeared in international competitions. Solovyov lives in Khanty-Mansiysk .
