Kaspars Dumbris (born February 25, 1985 in Cēsis ) is a former Latvian biathlete .

Kaspars Dumbris is a sports soldier and starts for an army sports club, where he is trained by Vitalis Urbanovics. He started for the first time in 2002 in Ridnaun at the Junior World Championships. There, as in 2003 in Kościelisko, he could not achieve any results worth mentioning. In 2004 he was fifth in the sprint in Haute-Maurienne and sixth in the relay, a year later in Kontiolahti again tenth in the sprint. At his last Junior World Championships in Presque Isle , he achieved a sixth place with the relay as the best result. In 2007 Dumbris took part in the biathlon world championships for the first time . In Antholz he was 72nd in the sprint and twelfth in the relay.

In 2005 and 2006, the Latvian competed in the European Biathlon Cup . During this time he was able to compete for the first time in the Biathlon World Cup at the end of the 2004/05 season in Pokljuka , where he was 63rd in the sprint. Especially at the end of the 2005/07 season he ran very successfully in the European Cup, won a sprint in Gurnigel and made it into the top four three more times. Since the middle of the 2006/07 season , Dumbris has only competed in the World Cup. His best individual result so far is a 48th place in the sprint, which he, like his best relay placement, a ninth place, reached in December 2007 in Pokljuka.
