Elisa Brocard (born October 27, 1984 in Aosta ) is an Italian cross-country skier .

Career

Brocard has been participating in competitions organized by the Fédération Internationale de Ski since 2001 . She has been competing in the Alpine Cup since 2005 . She took five wins and came sixth in the 2009/10 season and third place overall in the 2019/20 season. She ran her first World Cup race in December 2006 in Cogne , which she finished classically with 66th place over 10 km. She took her first World Cup point in March 2008 in Bormio with 30th place in the 2.5 km freestyle. In December 2008 she achieved her best individual World Cup result to date with 16th place in the sprint in Düsseldorf . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , she finished 32nd in the sprint. The Tour de Ski 2009/2010 she finished in 27th place in the overall ranking. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , she reached 43rd place in the sprint. She came in 46th place in the sprint at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 . In the Tour de Ski 2011/12 and Tour de Ski 2013/14 she reached the 23rd and 30th place in the overall ranking. Her best placings at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi were 13th in the 30km mass start race and eighth in the relay. In the 2015/16 season she competes in ski marathon races. In January 2016 she took second place at La Foulée Blanche and the Dolomites Run . In February 2016 she won the Marcia Gran Paradiso over 45 km classic and 45 km freestyle. At the beginning of April 2016 she was third in the Ugra Ski Marathon and at the end of the season she finished second in the overall ranking of the Worldloppet Cup . In the 2016/17 season she took 21st place in the 2016/17 Tour de Ski and 34th place in the World Cup final in Québec . At the season highlight of the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , she came in 30th place in the skiathlon, 15th in the 30 km mass start race and ninth place with the relay. The following season she came 17th in the Tour de Ski 2017/18 and 20th in the World Cup final in Falun . Her best results at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 26th place in the skiathlon and ninth place with the relay and at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tyrol tenth place in the sprint and seventh place with the relay. In the 2019/20 season she took 37th place in the Tour de Ski 2019/20 and 24th place in the ski tour.
