Roberta Fiandino (born October 17, 1985 in Cuneo ) is a former Italian biathlete .

The Italian Roberta Fiandino from CS Esercito ( Sports Promotion Center of the Army ) began her international career at the Junior World Championships in 2002 in Ridnaun . The Festionarin took part in this event annually until 2006. In 2003 in Kościelisko she was fifth with the relay, 2004 in Haute-Maurienne she had her best year. She finished eighth in the individual, seventh in the sprint, and eleventh in the pursuit. A seventh place was added with the season. The following year’s World Cup in Kontiolahti went without any notable placements. In the last title fights in 2006 in Presque Isle , she was once again 14th in the singles and fifth with the relay. The following year Fiandino took part in the senior biathlon world championships for the first time. In the individual she reached a 56th place, in the sprint she was 61st and thus only missed the qualification for the pursuit by one place. With the relay Fiandino was able to occupy a good eighth place.

Since the sprint in Obertilliach in 2002 , Roberta Fiandino started in the European / IBU Cup . Here she improved steadily. In the following year she was able to achieve fifth place in an individual in the same place. It was not until 2006 that she was able to improve the placement again in a pursuit in Martell as fourth. Three results in the top 10 ensured that it was then set up for the first time for the biathlon world cup . With the relay she was eleventh, in the following sprint 88th For the first time in Diepunkte Fiandino ran as 29th of a sprint 2007 in Hochfilzen . In the following race in Pokljuka she was 24th of the individual. For a long time it was the Italian's best result until she achieved her best result so far in 2009 in Antholz, 17th. In the further course of the year she also started in the competitions on roller skis at the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Haute Maurienne. Here she finished 12th in the sprint and 15th in the pursuit. Fiandino was also used at the 2009 World Championships in Pyeongchang . In the sprint, she narrowly missed the pursuit race in 63rd place, in the individual she came in 46th place. In the relay race, she missed her run as the final runner in Italy, as Michela Ponza had to give up shortly after the start.

The previous highlight of the career for Fiandino was participation in the 2010 Winter Olympics . In Vancouver she was 73rd of the individual, with Ponza, Katja Haller and Karin Oberhofer in the eleventh season. The Italian achieved another great success at the European Biathlon Championships in 2011 in Ridnaun, where she surprisingly won the silver medal in the relay race with Dorothea Wierer , Michela Andreola and Karin Oberhofer. At the World Championships of the year in Khanty-Mansiysk , the Italian achieved one of her best results with a 25th place in the individual, but did not make any further appearances. In the further course of the year she was at the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell seventh of the sprint and 12th of the pursuit.
