Ulyana Viktorovna Denissowa ( Russian Ульяна Викторовна Денисова ; born  January 11, 1983 in Murmansk ) is a former Russian biathlete .

The Russian Uljana Denissowa was a very successful junior athlete. She won her first international medal with relay bronze at the 2002 Junior European Championships in Kontiolahti . At her first Junior World Championships in Ridnaun in the same year , she still got nothing. 2003 brought in Forni Avoltr EM gold with the relay, bronze in the pursuit and good placings in sprint (fourth) and individual (fifth). She also won relay gold in Kościelisko at the World Cup and was sixth in the individual and fourth in the sprint. The following year she won gold in the sprint and bronze in the pursuit at the European Championships in Minsk as well as relay silver and bronze in singles and in the pursuit at the Junior World Championships in Haute-Maurienne .

After her last successful participation in the Junior World Championship, Denissowa was able to make her debut at the last World Cup station of the year, the Holmenkollen in Oslo , in 2004 . She was there 78th in the sprint. In 2005 it was used in eight further World Cup races and was able to collect World Cup points twice. After a 21st place in the Pokljuka sprint and 19th place in the pursuit, 18th place in the Hochfilzen sprint in January 2008 was the best World Cup result for a long time. In 2007 she won bronze in the relay at the Universiade in Turin , was sixth in the sprint, fifth in the pursuit and 13th in the mass start race. In addition, she was in the 10-kilometer freestyle race of the Military World Ski Championships 2007 in Haanja 16. First, the last major event were the Biathlon European Championships in 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě , where she was fifth in the sprint, eighth in the pursuit and with Olga Medwedzewa , Jana Romanowa and Natalia Sokolova fourth with the relay of Russia. It was not until 2010 that Denisova came back to international missions. Her return to the IBU Cup in Beitostølen was outstanding. She won the first sprint race of the season and came third in the second. In the further course of the season , the Russian came back to World Cup appearances in Presque Isle . With 16th places in the sprint and pursuit, she achieved her best results in Maine in the highest racing series.
