Lutz Feldt (born April 25, 1945 in Greifswald ) is a Vice Admiral a. D. of the German Navy and was inspector of the Navy from 2003 to 2006 .

Lutz Feldt joined the German Navy in 1965 as an officer candidate for Crew IV 65 . After completing his training, he was promoted to lieutenant at sea in 1968 . From 1969 to 1976 Feldt was a watch officer and commander on various minesweepers . In 1977 he switched to the destroyer flotilla , where he was deployed as a ship operations officer on the frigate Braunschweig and on the staff of the 2nd escort squadron. From 1981 to 1983 Feldt took part in the admiral staff training at the command academy of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg and then returned as first officer to the frigate Braunschweig . In 1984 he worked for three years as a consultant and personnel manager in the Federal Ministry of Defense with the rank of frigate captain . From 1987 to 1989 Feldt was in command of the destroyer Hessen . He was then commander of the 2nd frigate squadron in Wilhelmshaven until 1990 and was promoted to sea captain.

After German reunification , Feldt went to the branch office of the Federal Ministry of Defense in Strausberg in 1990 as head of department , where he was responsible for personnel matters for soldiers who had been taken over from the National People's Army . In 1991 he became head of the division for basic personnel matters of the Navy in the command staff of the Navy . In 1993 he moved to the ministry's personnel department as head of department.

In 1995 Feldt was promoted to Flotilla Admiral in command of the destroyer flotilla in Wilhelmshaven. In 1996 he became the Rear Admiral Assistant Chief of Staff Operations and Logistics at Allied Forces Northwestern Europe headquarters . In 2000 Lutz Feldt was appointed commander of the fleet and promoted to vice admiral. From 2003 to April 25, 2006 he was inspector of the Navy. His successor was Vice Admiral Wolfgang E. Nolting .
