Christoph Diehl

Christoph Diehl (born November 20, 1946 ) is a German rear admiral a. D. Most recently he was head of the Armed Forces Office in Bonn .

Career

Christoph Diehl joined the German Navy in 1966 . As an officer candidate for Crew IV / 66 , he began his training as a naval officer . This was followed by various uses. After in-depth training in surface weapons (B course), he was an artillery and naval weapons officer on the destroyer Rommel in Kiel from 1977 to 1979 . From 1979 to 1981 Diehl took part in the admiralty staff course at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg. Diehl served in the destroyer flotilla first as first officer , from 1988 to 1990 as commander of the destroyer Rommel . During this time he was already entrusted with the management of the commander of the 1st destroyer squadron in Kiel (1988-1989), from 1993 to 1995 he also held this post formally. From 1998 to 2001 he led the destroyer flotilla as commander. He then moved to AFSOUTH in Naples as “Director Operational Management” (2001–2004). On June 1, 2005 he became head of the armed forces office in Bonn. He handed over this post to Thomas Wollny in 2007 and retired on September 30, 2007.
