Vasile Sneaga (born January 28, 1972 in Bistrița , Bistrița-Năsăud County ) is a former Romanian biathlete .

Vasile Sneaga has been involved in biathlon since 1985. The sports soldier started for the ASA Brașov . He made his international debut at the 1997 Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie , where he was 82nd in individual and sprint. In the biathlon world cup , the Romanian started for the first time at the beginning of the 1999/2000 season in Hochfilzen , where he was 81st in the individual. Sneaga achieved his best international results at the Biathlon European Championships 2000 in Zakopane . In sprint and pursuit he reached 49th and 39th ranks, 12th with the relay and 13th in the individual. He achieved his best World Cup result in the2000/2001 season in Osrblie, where he was 54th in the pursuit. At the end of the season he appeared again at the Biathlon European Championships 2001 in Haute-Maurienne and was 35th in the individual. Sneaga ran in international races until 2004. This includes a fifth place with the Romanian mixed relay, which also includes Dana Plotogea , Éva Tófalvi and Marian Blaj , in Ruhpolding . His last appearance was at the Biathlon Military World Championships 2004 in Östersund , where 59th place in the sprint was the best result.
