Danilo Sé Dirani (born January 10, 1983 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian racing car driver .

Career

Dirani began his career in karting in 1992 , which he remained loyal to until 1999. In the 2000 season he gave an interlude in the Brazilian Formula Rio, where he won the championship title straight away.

He then returned to karting, where he stayed until 2002. During the 2002 season Dirani moved to the South American Formula 3 for Team Cesario F3. There he was very quick right away and at the end of the season he finished 2nd behind Nelson Piquet Jr. After successfully entering the South American Formula 3, Dirani went into the 2003 season with a lot of self-confidence, which he then dominated at will. He won 14 of 18 championship runs and the championship title.

In the 2004 season he moved to England for the British Formula 3 team Carlin Motorsport. He achieved two victories and finished 5th at the end of the season. For the 2005 season he moved to the P1 Motorsports team, with whom he won the first two races. In the rest of the season, however, he was no longer able to fight for the top positions because his racing car was technically inferior. In the end there was a 6th place overall.

Shortly after the end of the 2005 season, Dirani made his Formula Renault 3.5 World Series debut . He took part in the two races at Donington Park for the Victory Engineering team, but was eliminated each time.

In 2006 he switched to the Champ-Car - Formula Atlantic for the Condor Motorsports team. At the end of the season he finished 7th. In the same year Dirani completed test drives for the Formula 1 team Honda Racing F1 . From 2012 he competed in the Brazilian touring car and truck series.
