Career

Mikhailova began her international career in FIS races in Krasnogorsk in December 2001. Two years later, she made her debut in the Continental Cup at the race in Kirovsk . In April she achieved a notable result in this series for the first time at the end of the season in Murmansk with 11th place. At the start of winter 2004/05, she won the FIS race in Kirovsk. At the Russian Championships in Syktywkar in 2005 , she clearly missed a good placement and had to be content with results in midfield.

At the Winter Universiade 2007 in Turin , after a rather weak start and 17th place over 5 km, she only achieved a mediocre result in the sprint with 23rd place. In the pursuit, she fought her way to ninth place before finally winning the 15 km individual race. With the relay, she secured the silver medal. At the following military World Ski Championships in 2007 in Võru she was 17th over 10 km.

At the beginning of the 2007/08 season Mikhailova got a starting place in the Eastern Europe Cup , the Eastern European relay of the Continental Cup . Already in the qualification for the Sprint of Vershina Tjoi she showed good performances and secured first place for the final. In the final run itself, she finished second. On December 15, 2007 she made her debut in the A national team thanks to the good performance in the B team at the Cross-Country World Cup in Rybinsk . After finishing the 15 km mass start race as 25, she immediately collected her first World Cup points. After she finished 50th in the second race with no points, she was transferred back to the B squad and stayed in the Continental Cup. There you got two wins in Vershina Tjoi in the sprint in November 2008. In January 2009 she was used again in the World Cup in Rybinsk, but remained in 39th place without winning points.

At the beginning of the 2009/10 season she got a permanent place in the World Cup squad but could not win points in any of the races until December and started again in the Continental Cup from Christmas 2009. On January 16 and 17, 2010, she celebrated two victories in Kharkiv, Ukraine . Then she was used again a few days later in the context of the Rybinsk World Cup and achieved her best World Cup placement to date with rank 12.

In December 2010, Mikhailova was nominated for a relay race in the World Cup for the first time in La Clusaz and finished seventh with her teammates. At the turn of the year she started in the Tour de Ski 2010/11 and finished 22nd after good stage results. On February 6, 2011, she celebrated her first podium finish in the World Cup in Rybinsk with second place in the relay. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , she also started as a member of the relay and ended up sixth.

On January 22, 2012, after a mixed season in the Eastern Europe Cup, Mikhailova started in the Cross-Country Marathon Cup for the first time and only just missed the podium in Lienz in fourth. A year later she celebrated her first win in this series in the same place. In March 2013 she won the Demino Ski Marathon . Despite these successes, Mikhailova remained almost exclusively in the B and C squad for the next two years and started primarily in the Eastern Europe Cup. On March 14, 2015 she finished third in the Demino Ski Marathon.

In July 2015 she started in the Rollerski World Cup for the first time and reached the podium in second race in Madona, Latvia . At the Rollerski World Championships 2017 in Sollefteå , she won the silver medal together with Olga Letucheva in the team sprint.
