Fritz Herrndorf (born February 28, 1950 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

The goalkeeper Fritz Herrndorf began his career at SpVgg Neu-Isenburg and switched to the regional division Wormatia Worms in the summer of 1972 . After a stopover at SV Wiesbaden in the 1974/75 season, Herrndorf moved to the second division club FC 08 Homburg in the summer of 1975 , where he only made two appearances. In 1977 the transfer to SC Herford followed , with whom he was relegated at the end of the season. Herrndorf switched to Rot-Weiss Essen in the summer of 1978. With the Essenes he was runner-up two years later, but failed in the promotion games to the Bundesliga at Karlsruher SC . At the end of the season Herrndorf moved to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , with whom he was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga in 1981. Later he was still active for 1. FC Mülheim and Schwarz-Weiß Essen .

Overall, Fritz Herrndorf completed 65 second division games in which he did not score a goal. Of the 65 games, 43 were in Essen, 13 in Herford, seven in Oberhausen and two in Homburg. There are also 27 regional league games for Worms.
