Émilie Vina (born March 24, 1982 in Bonneville (Haute-Savoie) ) is a former French cross-country skier .

Career

Vina competed in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 1999 to 2012 . At the Junior World Championships in Štrbské Pleso , Slovakia , she was 31st over five kilometers and 33rd in the sprint. A year later she was at the Junior World Championships in 2001 in Karpacz, Poland 20th in the sprint and 29th in the mass start race over 15 kilometers. At her last Junior World Championships in 2002 in Schonach in the Black Forest , she came sixth in the mass start race over 15 kilometers and seventh over five kilometers twice in the top ten, while she finished the sprint in 13th. She ran her first World Cup race in December 2002 in Davos , which she finished in 69th place in the 10 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2003 in Val di Fiemme , she achieved 36th place in the sprint and ninth place in the relay. In October 2004 she got her first World Cup points with the 13th place in the sprint in Düsseldorf . This was also her best result in a World Cup individual race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2005 in Oberstdorf , she reached 59th place over 10 km freestyle and 47th place in sprint. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin , she achieved 47th place in the sprint and ninth place in the relay. In 2009 she won the 42 km freestyle at La Foulée Blanche . The Tour de Ski 2009/10 and 2010/11 she finished 31st and 25th in the overall ranking. At the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , she came in 48th place in the 15 km pursuit. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , she finished 50th in the sprint, 45th place in the 30 km mass start race and 13th place with the relay. In January 2012 she won the 42 km freestyle at the Marathon de Bessans . After the 2011/12 season, she ended her career.
