Manuel Inocente Morales

Manuel Inocente Morales (born December 28, 1845 in San Salvador , † December 6, 1919 in Tegucigalpa ) was a Salvadoran politician and diplomat .

Life

Manuel Inocente Morales was the son of Carmen Villaseñor and Mariano Morales. He received his doctorate in law from the Universidad de El Salvador and practiced as a lawyer from 1875 . In 1880 he was appointed State Secretary in the Foreign Ministry, he held the office of Foreign Minister during the absence of Foreign Minister Cruz Ulloa. In 1888 he formed the Salvadoran part of a Honduran-Salvadoran border commission with Santiago I. Barberena. From December 19, 1892 to April 11, 1893 he was Foreign Minister in the government of Carlos Ezeta ; In this function he negotiated a reciprocal trade agreement with the Benjamin Harrison cabinet that secured market access for El Salvadoran coffee to the US market.

From March 1, 1903 to May 25, 1904 he was Foreign Minister in the government of Pedro José Escalón .

From 1912 he was a judge at the Corte Centroamericana de Justicia .
