The student, who lives in Nittedal , has been practicing biathlon since 1992. Internationally, Julie Bonnevie-Svendsen started for the first time in 2004 at the European Cup races in Geilo . In the individual, she immediately came in second behind Irina Moschewitina , in the sprint she was third. The highlight of the first 2004/05 season was participation in the Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti . Best place was a seventh place in the pursuit. After further good placements at the beginning of the 2005/06 season in the European Cup, Bonnevie-Svendsen advanced to the Biathlon World Cup . In her first race, an individual in Hochfilzen , she reached her first World Cup points in 15th place. At the Junior World Championships of the year in Presque Isle , she narrowly missed medal places as fourth in the sprint and the relay. A year later she won her first medal in Martell with relay bronze. At the 2008 World Championships in Östersund, Julie Bonnevie-Svendsen finished in 8th place in the sprint for the first time in the top 10.
