Simon Hallenbarter (born March 5, 1979 in Obergesteln ) is a former Swiss biathlete .

Simon Hallenbarter started for SC Obergoms. He has been biathlon since 2002. Hallenbarter was the best Swiss biathlete in the 2006 season. At the World Cup race in Osrblie (SVK) he reached 8th place. He also qualified for the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin , where he could not convince with 77th and 67th place. In the 2008 sprint in Ruhpolding , he surprisingly achieved 6th place. Simon Hallenbarter took part in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games . His best result was 16th in the sprint. With the relay he finished 9th.
