Aleš Razým lives in Chotíkov and started for TJ Dukla Liberec . He started his international career in 2003 in FIS races . At the Junior World Championships in 2004 in Stryn , he finished twelfth in the 10-kilometer race and was sixth in the Czech cross-country relay. Until his World Cup debut in a 15-kilometer race in Nove Mesto (74th), he only competed in FIS and youth races. Best place at the Junior World Championships 2005 in Rovaniemi was a fourth place in the pursuit race. He was also 24th over ten kilometers in the free technique and 50th in the sprint. Razým collected his first World Cup points in December 2005 at the sprint of Nove Mesto, where he was 28th. At the Junior World Championships in 2006 in Kranj , Slovenia , he was 15th over 10 kilometers in the classic technique, 21st in the pursuit over 2 × 10 kilometers and 24th in the sprint. At the Universiade in Pragelato in 2007 he won the silver medal in the sprint. He was also 23rd in the pursuit over 15 kilometers, 24th over 30 kilometers in free technique and 35th over ten kilometers in free technique. At the beginning of the 2007/08 season he was fifth in the team sprint from Düsseldorf together with Dušan Kožíšek and thus took his first top ten placement. In the 2008/09 season he took 11th place in the sprint in Davos, his best individual World Cup result to date. At the Tour de Ski 2008/09 he reached 40th place in the overall ranking. In February 2009 he won gold in the sprint at the U23 World Championship in Praz de Lys-Sommand. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , he finished 12th in the team sprint and surprised with sixth place in the sprint. In the 2009/10 season he was unable to score points in any World Cup races. Also at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he only came in 44th place in the sprint.
Due to this poor performance, he mainly competed in the Alpine Cup and the Slavic Cup in the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons, which he won in 2012. In the 2012/13 season he again took part mainly in World Cup races. At the Tour de Ski 2012/13 he finished 43rd in the overall ranking. In January 2013 he took third place with the relay in La Clusaz and thus his first podium in the World Cup. His placements at the following World Championship in Val di Fiemme were 31st place in the sprint, 23rd place over 15 km freestyle, eleventh place in the relay and eighth place in the team sprint. He finished the Tour de Ski 2013/14 in 35th place. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he achieved 49th place in the sprint, ninth place in team sprint and eighth place with the relay. His results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun were 36th place in the 50 km mass start race, 48th place in the sprint, 9th place with the relay and sixth place together with Dušan Kožíšek in the team sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2017 he came in 55th place in the sprint, 48th place in the 50 km mass start race and 12th place together with Michal Novák in the team sprint. He finished the Tour de Ski 2017/18 in 36th place. His best results at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 30th place over 15 km freestyle and seventh place together with Martin Jakš in the team sprint. He was also 41st in the mass start race over 50 kilometers, 43rd in the sprint, 55th in the skiathlon over 2 × 15 kilometers and tenth with the Czech relay. After the Winter Games, he started the mass start race as part of the World Cup in March 2018 in Oslo , where he finished 49th. Then he ended his career.
