Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 1989

The 22nd Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1989 took place from March 16 to 19, 1989 in Vang, Norway (a district of Hamar since 1992). They were held in Norway for the second time after 1984 ( Trondheim ).

The most successful nation in the title fights was the Soviet Union with three gold and three bronze medals, followed by Norway with three gold and one bronze medal and Italy with two gold and one bronze medals.

Competition venues

The ski jumping competitions were held on the Lierberget Hoppbakke , which was built in 1968 . The cross-country competitions of the combiners and the specialists were held on trails in the area.
