Zelingerová-Fořtová started internationally for the first time at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1989 in Vang . There she won bronze with the relay. In the same year she became Czechoslovak junior champion over 10 km. The following year she won the silver medal over 5 km classic at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Les Saisies . In December 1990 she made her debut on the Tauplitzalm in the cross-country skiing world cup and finished 64th over 10 km. In the 1991/92 season she won her first World Cup points in Cogne with 12th place over 30 km freestyle and thus achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup. At the season highlight, the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , she came in 24th place in the pursuit, 22nd place over 30 km freestyle and 18th place over 5 km classic. In addition, she was there together with Ľubomíra Balážová , Alžbeta Havrančíková and Kateřina Neumannová sixth in the season. In March 1992 she won bronze over 15 km freestyle and silver with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Vuokatti . She finished the season in 40th place in the overall World Cup and thus achieved her best overall result. She repeated this placement in the following season. She also became Czechoslovakian champion over 10 km in 1992 and reached her only podium finish in the World Cup in March 1993 in Oslo with third place in the relay. Your best rankings in the World Championships 1993 in Falun was the 26th place in the pursuit and fifth place in the relay at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer the 33rd place in the persecution and the ninth rank in the relay and in the World Championships 1995 in Thunder Bay 18th place over 15 km classic and eighth place with the relay. At the 1997 World Championships in Trondheim she ran to 28th place in the pursuit, 23rd place over 5 km classic and 30 km classic and fifth place with the relay. She completed her last race at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano . There she achieved the 44th place over 15 km classic.
