Alžbeta Havrančíková (born September 27, 1963 in Poprad ) is a former Slovak cross-country skier .

Havrančíková started in 1984 for the first time in the World Cup. In her first World Cup race in Štrbské Pleso , Slovakia , she was tenth over the 5-kilometer distance. Her best results were achieved four years later in the 1988/89 season. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland, she narrowly missed a medal twice. She finished fourth over both the 10 kilometers and 30 kilometers of freestyle. With the Czechoslovak team she reached fifth place. Havrančíková also won the World Cup in Klingenthal over the 30 kilometers freestyle and in La Féclaz over the 5 kilometers freestyle. These good results secured her second place in the overall World Cup ranking behind Jelena Välbe .

Havrančíková finished fifth at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1993 in Falun, Sweden , with both the Czechoslovak relay and the 30 kilometers freestyle. In the following years she could no longer achieve these results.

At the Olympic Winter Games , Havrančíková finished seventh with the Czechoslovak relay in 1988 and sixth in 1992 . In Lillehammer she latched on to in 1994 her best individual result at the Olympics. In the 30 kilometer freestyle competition she took eighth place. With the Slovak relay she was seventh.

In the Czechoslovak Championships Havrančíková won four times over 5 km (1985-1988) and 30 km (1989-1992), twice over 10 km (1989, 1990) and with the relay of LK Liptovský Hrádok (1989, 1990) and each once over 20 km (1986) and 15 km (1989).

Alžbeta Havrančíková ended her active career after the 1999/2000 season. In her last competition in Nové Město na Moravě in the Czech Republic, she finished 56th over the 10 km classic.
