Rudolf Altmann

Rudolf Altmann (born September 5, 1906 in Berlin ; † April 18, 1945 ) was a German police officer and head of the Gelsenkirchen Police Office.

Career

After graduating from high school in 1924, Rudolf Altmann studied law in Berlin and Marburg . After working as a court clerk and -assessor the Court of Berlin , he received a job as an assistant judge at the District Court II in Berlin. Before he was hired on July 1, 1935 as an assistant at the District Office Itzehoe , he acted as a judge at the Rathenow and Storkow District Court and as a lawyer in Liegnitz. On August 16, 1934, he received his doctorate as Dr. Jur. In July 1936, Altmann moved to the Wiesbaden district government , where he became head of the police department. On May 1, 1938, he took over the management of the Gelsenkirchen Police Office as a member of the government . Altmann did military service and fell in the final phase of the Second World War as a first lieutenant in the Wehrmacht .

Rudolf Altmann was a member of the Greater German Youth Association and from December 1931 to April 1932 of the Hitler Movement's Freedom Association. On May 1, 1932, he joined the NSDAP (member number 1,091,466) and was a member of the SA from July 8, 1933 to 1937 .
