Anette Fanqvist (born June 16, 1969 in Fränsta ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Fanqvist, who started for the Stokiks SF , achieved her first international success at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1989 in Vang , Norway , where she worked with the Swedish 4x5 kilometer relay, which also included Karin Öhman , Annika Evaldsson and Kicki Eskilsson . won the silver medal. She made her debut in January 1992 in Kavgolovo in the cross-country skiing world cup and took 52nd place over 15 km classic. At the beginning of the 1994/95 season, she got her first World Cup points with 21st place over 5 km classic in Kiruna . In the further course of the season she came in the points seven times and at the end of the season she finished 38th in the overall World Cup. At the season highlight of the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 in Thunder Bay , she won the bronze medal with the relay. In addition, she finished 29th over 30 km freestyle and 27th place over 15 km classic. In March 1995 she was third with the relay at the World Cup in Sapporo . After she could not achieve any World Cup points in the 1995/96 and 1996/97 seasons, he achieved in the 1997/98 season in Ramsau am Dachstein with the 16th place over 10 km classic, her best individual placement in the World Cup. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , she achieved 37th place over 30 km freestyle and eighth place with the relay. The following year she came in at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein on 35th place over 30 km classic. She ran her last World Cup races in March 1999 in Falun , which she finished 31st place over 15 km classic and seventh place with the relay. She won the Swedish championships in 1993 and 1999 with the season of Stockiks SF. She is married to former cross-country skier Larry Poromaa .
