Robin Bryntesson (born October 17, 1985 in Sollefteå ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Bryntesson was junior sprint world champion in Stryn in 2004 and won the U23 sprint world championship in 2007 and 2008. At the Junior World Championships in 2005 in Rovaniemi , Finland , he just missed a medal in fourth in the sprint, while he was only 33rd in the freestyle race over ten kilometers. He made his debut in the cross-country world cup in February 2004 in Stockholm in the sprint, which he finished in 48th place. Bryntesson achieved his first World Cup points in March 2006 in the sprint in Borlänge with rank 24, in March 2007 in Lahti with rank 15 in the sprint he reached the top 15 for the first time and in December of the same year he was ranked 10th in the Rybinsk sprint for the first time the top 10. In the Stockholm sprint in March 2008, Bryntesson finished seventh. In January 2009 he won the team sprint in Whistler together with Emil Jönsson and was third in the team sprint in Düsseldorf in December 2009 with Björn Lind . In February 2010, Bryntesson won his first race in the Scandinavian Cup in a sprint in Sigulda . In December 2009 he finished the World Cup sprint in Düsseldorf in ninth place; He also achieved two further top 10 positions in the team sprint in Liberec in January 2011 with sixth place and in Québec in December 2012 with ninth place. He completed his last World Cup race on December 21, 2013 when he finished 24th in the sprint in Asiago, Italy . He then competed in national championships and international FIS races. Most recently he took part in the Wasalauf on March 5, 2017 , which he finished 103rd in the 90-kilometer distance.
