Lukas Klapfer (born December 25, 1985 in Eisenerz ) is an Austrian Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Lukas Klapfer from WSV Eisenerz has been running Nordic Combined since 1997. At the Junior World Championships in 2004 in Stryn , he won the bronze medal with the Austrian relay. He made his debut in the A World Cup at a mass start race in Sapporo in 2005 . He achieved his only World Cup victory so far on January 4, 2015 at a competition in Schonach. With the Austrian relay he reached third place in Schonach in 2009 , fourth place in Lago di Tesero in 2007 and seventh place with Michael Gruber in the 2007 team competition in Ruhpolding . In the B World Cup, he achieved six other podium finishes in addition to one victory. In the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons he was 29th of the overall World Cup.

In 2009 Lukas Klapfer achieved his first podium in the World Cup with 2nd place in Seefeld / Austria, this season he finished the overall World Cup with 14th place. At the Olympic Games in Sochi , he won the bronze medal in the team competition.

Klapfer represented Austria at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . In the combination on the normal hill he won bronze and together with Willi Denifl, Bernhard Gruber and Mario Seidl bronze in the team competition on the large hill.
