Ingrid Vikman (born January 2, 1985 in Borås ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Vikman, who started for the IK Jarl SK, ran for the first time internationally at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2001 in Vuokatti . There she finished 21st place over 10 km freestyle, and tenth place over 5 km classic. At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2003 in Pokljuka , she was tenth over 5 km classic and ninth over 7.5 km freestyle. She had her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in March 2003 in Falun , which she finished in 11th place with the relay. Her results at the Junior World Ski Championships in 2004 in Stryn were sixth place with the relay, fourth place in sprint, eighth place in mass start race over 15 kilometers and 34th place over five kilometers in free technique. At the Junior World Ski Championships 2005 in Rovaniemi , she won seventh place in the sprint. She completed her first race in the Scandinavian Cup in February 2005 in Sundsvall , which she ended prematurely. In the following year she came at the U23 World Championships in Kranj on the 29th place in the skiathlon , on the 22nd place in the sprint and on the 20th place over 10 km classic. In January 2009 she got her first and only World Cup points with the 26th place in the sprint in Otepää . In the 2009/10 season she reached in Jõulumäe with second place in the sprint and in the 10 km handicap race, her only podium in the Scandinavian Cup and thus finished 12th in the overall standings. She ran her last World Cup race in November 2010 in Gällivare , which she finished in 18th place in the relay. After that, she only started in lower-class races before ending her career in 2016.
