Ramona Düringer (born December 2, 1989 ) is a former Austrian cross-country skier and is now a biathlete .

Ramona Düringer starts for WSV Andelsbuch . In 2009 she made the switch from cross-country skiing to biathlon. She competed in her first cross-country races in the 2006/07 season in lower-class races such as the Alpine Cup or FIS races. At the FIS Junior World Ski Championships in Le Praz-de-Lys-Sommand in 2009 , the Austrian took 35th place in the 5-kilometer freestyle and was 49th in the pursuit race. At Austrian championships, both in 2009 in Seefeld in Tyrol and in 2010 in Obertilliach, she won the silver medals in the 15-kilometer freestyle in mass start mode behind Kateřina Smutná .

At the start of the 2009/10 season , Düringer started the IBU Cup for the first time in Idre and finished 77th in the sprint. A week later she made her debut in the World Cup . There she contested her first race in Östersund with a sprint, in which she came in 101st. In addition, she started with Iris Waldhuber , Romana Schrempf and Kerstin Muschet in Austria's first women's relay in the World Cup and was 17th with this. In the same year, she won IBU Cup points for the first time as 39th in a sprint race in Obertilliach . In Pokljuka , she achieved her best results so far in the racing series in sprint and pursuit with 23rd place. The first highlight of the first biathlon season was the Junior World Championship in Torsby , with the Düringer 43rd in the singles, 47th. in the sprint and 40th in the pursuit. Shortly afterwards, the Austrian also competed at the Junior European Championships in Otepää and reached 37th in the individual, 20 in the sprint and 19 in the pursuit race. At the end of the season, Düringer won the sprint title at the Austrian Biathlon Championships in 2010 in Hochfilzen and only had to admit defeat to Iris Waldhuber in the pursuit, who she was able to relegate to second place in the sprint. At the Biathlon World Championships 2011 , Ramona Düringer sprinted to 33rd place, making it into the points of the World Cup for the first time. It was the first place in the points for an Austrian biathlete since Brigitte Weisleitner 's last point win ten years earlier. In the pursuit race she improved again by three places. With Waldhuber, Dominik Landertinger and Christoph Sumann , she also finished seventh in the mixed relay race.
